The Viking VK2503 Standard Response Dry Horizontal Sidewall Fire Sprinkler provides targeted water distribution in commercial, industrial, and residential environments where ceiling-mounted fire suppression is impractical or restricted. Designed for installation in wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge fire protection networks, this dry sidewall unit extends into protected areas while keeping the water-filled supply piping safely outside the freezing space. The plain barrel configuration allows precise layout customization, making it an ideal solution for challenging architectural spaces with spatial constraints.
Engineered to satisfy commercial life safety and property protection guidelines, this assembly complies with applicable NFPA standards for ordinary hazard occupancies. It ensures strict adherence to code requirements, supporting system designers and trade contractors during AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) plan reviews and inspections.
- Standard Response Thermal Element: Activates quickly when exposed to heat to initiate rapid fire suppression in ordinary hazard environments such as offices and retail spaces.
- Dry Horizontal Sidewall Design: Engineered for sidewall mounting to deliver a precise spray pattern where overhead ceiling installation is impossible.
- Durable Metal Construction: Crafted from high-strength, corrosion-resistant metals to withstand environmental stress and minimize long-term maintenance requirements.
- System Versatility: Fully compatible with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler configurations for flexible network integration.
- Plain Barrel Configuration: Permits custom-fit installations tailored to specific building depths and architectural layouts.
